I am so thankful and grateful for the grant awarded by the Trustees. It has allowed me to feel somewhat fresh as I try again to make a fresh start in life whilst in custody. I have had my struggle’s in life due to substance abuse hence the reason why I keep getting recalled back to custody under the IPP sentence imposed upon me. Due to my behaviour of addiction under the influence of substance abuse I have burnt all my bridges with family and friends and abused their love, generosity, compassion, kindness and mercifulness to me through the behaviour of my disease of addiction. They have cut all ties financially, emotionally to me and it hurts but it is my own doing with my own two hands, I have learnt this consequence and only have myself to blame, again returning to custody and working on myself taking it a day at a time, being proactive working with the Forward Trust on my drug issues and hoping to secure release to a rehab centre come my parole hearing. I am now blessed and fortunate enough and grateful for the blessings I once was ignorant of and took for granted. Because of BACO I can invest in a pair of new footwear and socks other than the ones I currently have and have worn into the ground. I can now order my size and make positive steps again in life other than being reminded everyday of my life of addiction. Thank you.
