We are a wholly voluntary organisation and are reliant on our members not only for their financial support but for their belief in our work to bring about ‘positive change’ to the lives of serving prisoners and ex-offenders released to the community and on probation.

If you agree with BACO’s aims then please consider helping us. You could help make a difference to the life of a serving prisoner or an ex-offender by becoming a Member.

OTHER WAYS TO HELP

Buckinghamshire Lottery was created in 2020 by Buckinghamshire Council.  Set up to support community projects in the local area, Buckinghamshire Lottery operates on the principle of raising money within the community for the community. They empower local good causes to raise money in a fun and effective way.

In a time of shrinking budgets and increased community need, Buckinghamshire Lottery enables people to support the causes they care most about, helping good causes to connect with their supporters.

A ticket for Buckinghamshire Lottery costs £1 per week and 60p will go directly to us!  There are prizes of up to £25,000 to be won, and any winnings can be kept or donated to your chosen charity.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER

We are always very interested to talk to anyone who would like to know more about BACO and how to get involved.  Our Committee is a team of seven volunteers who serve a tenure of office in line with the Charity Commission recommendations of two terms of three years with a further three years, so we are always looking for prospective Trustees to take up a role when a place becomes vacant.

Prisoner Support Volunteer; this is a role that requires a full security check from the MOJ and a requirement to visit one of the prisons in Buckinghamshire and to meet prisoners on a one to one basis to discuss applications for funding.
